Terms and Conditions

Effective 5 August 2026 · Last updated 5 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and AlgebraPulse.com ("we", "our", or "us") for the use of the AlgebraPulse app.

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Terms of Use or our data practices, please contact our Data Protection Officer at: Contact@AlgebraPulse.com.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using AlgebraPulse you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should read these terms together with a parent or guardian, who accepts them on your behalf.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use AlgebraPulse on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, rent, lease, lend, sell or redistribute the app or any part of it, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3. What the app does

AlgebraPulse solves Grade 7–10 algebra and trigonometry problems and shows the working, with an explanation for each step. Every step is produced on your device by a symbolic mathematics engine applying the standard rules of algebra in exact fractions. The app does not use artificial intelligence, a language model, or an answer bank, and no step is guessed or predicted. As a result, the same problem always produces the same working.

4. Educational use and academic honesty

This is a study aid, not a substitute for your own work

AlgebraPulse is intended to help you understand a method so that you can carry it out yourself. It is not intended to complete assignments on your behalf.

Whether using this app is permitted on any particular piece of work is a decision for your teacher, school, college or examination board — not for us. Rules differ between classes and institutions, and they change. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to you. If you are unsure, ask before you hand anything in.

Exported PDFs and copied text are designed to show a method, and each export is labelled with how it was produced so that a teacher can see plainly where it came from. Removing, obscuring or altering that labelling in order to present the working as unaided is a misuse of the app and a breach of these terms.

We accept no responsibility for academic penalties, disciplinary outcomes, failed assessments or lost grades arising from your use of the app, including any use that breaches your institution's rules.

5. Accuracy and limits

We work hard to make the mathematics correct, and results are verified by substitution where that is possible. Even so, the app is provided as a study aid and not as an authority:

Coverage is Grade 7–10 algebra and trigonometry. Problems outside that scope, or written in a form the app cannot interpret, return guidance rather than an answer.

Trigonometry is worked in degrees.

Text recognition from photographs can misread handwriting. The recognized line is always shown for you to confirm before solving, and checking that it matches the question on the page is your responsibility.

The app does not follow any single school board's syllabus or sequence. Where your class has been taught a different but equally valid method, prefer the method your class was taught.

You should not rely on the app as the sole basis for any academic submission, and you should check important results independently.

6. Subscriptions

Solving, all step-by-step working, and text export are free, with no limit and no advertising, and we intend to keep them that way.

AlgebraPulse Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that adds two things: printable PDF hand-in sheets, and unlimited practice with weak-spot targeting.

Price — $3.99 per month, or $19.99 per year. Prices are in US dollars; the price in your local currency and any applicable tax are shown in the App Store before you confirm.

Free trial — the yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial where you are eligible. Eligibility is determined by Apple. If a trial is available to you, the app says so before you subscribe; if it does not say so, no trial is being offered.

Renewal — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before that period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.

Managing and cancelling — manage or cancel at any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Unused trial time — if you subscribe before a free trial ends, the remaining trial period is forfeited.

Payment and refunds — all payments are taken by Apple under its terms. We cannot issue refunds; refund requests are handled by Apple.

Restoring — if you reinstall the app or change device, use “Restore purchases” to recover an active subscription.

We may change subscription prices or the features included in Pro. Where a change affects an existing subscription, we will give notice as required by Apple and by applicable law, and a price increase will not take effect for you without the consent Apple requires. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

If a subscription cannot be verified — for example because your device is offline — the app is designed to keep Pro features available rather than interrupt your work. That behaviour is a convenience, not an entitlement, and we may correct it once verification succeeds.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree not to use the app unlawfully, not to attempt to circumvent purchase or subscription controls, and not to interfere with its operation or security. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of anything you export and wish to keep, since the app stores your work only on your device.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its design, its explanatory text and its underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond the licence in section 2. Mathematics itself is nobody's property: the solutions and workings the app produces are yours to use freely, including in your schoolwork, subject to section 4.

9. Privacy

Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT EVERY RESULT WILL BE CORRECT OR COMPLETE, OR THAT IT WILL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF ANY PARTICULAR COURSE, ASSIGNMENT, EXAMINATION OR GRADE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GRADES, ACADEMIC STANDING, OPPORTUNITY OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR TEN US DOLLARS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

12. Termination

This licence continues until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach these terms, and you may end it at any time by deleting the app. Sections 4, 8, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination.

13. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement or discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date above will change, and material changes will be made clear in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of STATE / PROVINCE / COUNTRY, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that place have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law.

16. Contact

Questions, requests or complaints: Contact@AlgebraPulse.com. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our response, you may also complain to you
